On Wednesday, August 7, local businesses, organizations, and residents will come together with one mission — to create a healthy beach community.
Our goal is to enhance our community’s health through the act of volunteerism. A simple act of volunteering can derive many health benefits such as higher rates of life satisfaction, social connections, and longevity. Support our LiveWell Kids Garden Program by volunteering in our school gardens in Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach to help prep them for the upcoming school year.

8:30 - 9: 30 a.m. Check-in and instructions
9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Volunteer in the gardens
Activities include:
- Harvesting
- Cleaning up
- Planting
- Weeding
- Assembling composters
- Spreading bark & more
Participating organizations will be featured in
- BCHD social media posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (18,600+ fans/followers)
- A thank you ad in the Easy Reader and Beach Reporter
