More than 600 strong, our network of volunteers form the backbone of Beach Cities Health District (BCHD). Diverse, motivated and talented, BCHD volunteers have the opportunity to work in a variety of community-focused programs and play an integral role in improving the health and well-being of Beach Cities residents.

Advisory Committee

BCHD Board of Directors is seeking qualified residents and high school students of the cities of Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach or Redondo Beach to serve on its advisory committees. All committee members have a direct impact on the health and wellness programs and services BCHD provides to the Beach Cities community. Apply by noon on Monday, May 6th.

Errand Volunteer

Be the key to independence for a senior by assisting with errands required for daily living, like grocery shopping and pharmacy visits.

AdventurePlex Volunteer

Work with kids in a fun, energetic environment!

Brain Buddies Volunteer

Help older and/or disabled adults with memory loss by engaging them in socialization and activities including games, music, art and more.

Support School Health Programs

BCHD partners with the local school districts in Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach to offer programs that increase physical activity, improve nutrition and promote social-emotional well-being.
