Well-Being in the Beach Cities

Beach Cities residents are generally physically healthy, and we’ve seen measurable improvements since 2010, according to the Gallup-Sharecare Well-Being Index. Although we’ve seen a 36% decrease in smoking and a 25% decrease in above normal weight for adults, Beach Cities residents are struggling emotionally.

  • 43.4% of Beach Cities adults reported experiencing significant daily stress
  • 13.7% of Beach Cities adults reported being diagnosed with depression at some point in their lifetime
