The Beach Cities Health District (BCHD) Board of Directors is seeking qualified residents of the cities of Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach or Redondo Beach to serve on its advisory committees. All community advisory committee members have a direct impact on the health and wellness programs and services BCHD provides to the Beach Cities community. Meetings are generally held quarterly and scheduled for evenings. Regular members or advisors serve a two-year term.
The following committee is seeking candidates for committee advisors:
- Properties Committee: Assists the Board in fulfilling its responsibility for managing District properties. The Committee is responsible for policy advice to the Board on property assets; acquisition, development, leasing and disposition of District properties; lease negotiation oversight; and, capital development plans.
An applicant must be a resident of Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach or Manhattan Beach. Committee advisors must complete the BCHD Community Advisor Application and submit with a resumé or curriculum vitae by noon on Monday, March 1. Top candidates will be contacted for an interview and appointments will be announced in March. Terms begin March 25, 2021 and will end June 30, 2023.
