LiveWell Kids Gardens
All Redondo Unified School District Elementary Schools, along with Hermosa View School, have LiveWell Kids gardens. Maintained by Beach Cities Health District's Garden Angels, Garden Coordinator and parent volunteers, the school gardens provide a place for students to receive five interactive lessons per year. Students not only explore planting, harvesting and maintenance of gardens but also pollination, photosynthesis, seasonal planting and much more.

The LiveWell Kids Garden Program include:

  • Lessons
  • Training
  • Garden Lesson Scheduling and Tracking
  • Garden Docent Guidelines and Resources

Hermosa Valley School Garden
In partnership with Palos Verdes School Gardens, the first-ever middle school garden program in the Beach Cities provides Hermosa Valley students a highly-interactive experience that focuses on farm-to-table practices while providing them opportunities for advocacy in creating healthy eating habits. Lessons are taught by a dedicated garden specialist, and parent volunteers support school garden events.
