FITNESS PROGRAMS & CLASSES

Athritis Foundation Exercise Class (formerly known as PACE)

Participants work on joint flexibility, muscle strength, relieving stiffness and improving posture. 12 weeks.

Belly Dancing

Beginning and intermediate students learn the beauty of this ancient Middle Eastern dance while receiving an excellent workout. 12 weeks.

Feldenkrais: Align the Spine

Increase spinal flexibility, reduce muscle tightness and aches. Be more aware of postural and movement habits for greater back comfort. Presented by Joy Ambro, R.P.T., guild-certified Feldenkrais practitioner. 6 weeks.

Swing, Latin and Ballroom Dance

Basic moves will get you gliding across the dance floor. Singles and couples welcome. Dress comfortably and wear flat or leather-soled shoes. 6 weeks.

Tai Chi

This class focuses on the first third of the 24-position Yang style. Light and relaxing exercises provide a basic foundation. 12 weeks.

Ease yourself into improved flexibility, balance and strength by practicing Sun style Tai Chi . 12 weeks.

Fall Prevention Class

For those 50 and up who may be at risk for falling, this class includes both lecture and exercise, with a focus on strengthening the muscles that correspond to posture and balance.
