Center for Health Information
The Center for Health Information is BCHD’s public health library and offers a wealth of free information – books, DVDs, pamphlets, and online access -- on health related topics. The center is staffed by a librarian and numerous volunteers.

- Hundreds of books, video tapes, DVDs and audio tapes available for free check-out on topics including heart health, arthritis, cholesterol management, pregnancy, nutrition, grieving, cancer prevention and much more
- Free online access to the Thomson-Gale database – one of the health industry’s most respected subscriber-only health information sources
- More than 1,000 free pamphlets on a full range of health-related topics
- Dozens of health journals and magazines – Cooking Light, Harvard Women’s Health Watch, Focus on Healthy Aging a more
- Knowledgeable trained volunteers to assist with questions
